[IMG] Does anyone know how to command the henchman/henchwoman to retreat? Clicking through the voice-sets (during character creation) each voice seems to have a "retreat" in the set, but I don't see "retreat" in the list of commands for the hench(x)...?

Basically, I'm trying to solve the whole "how to keep the hench-doofus alive" quandry. Any good strategies for this?

If there's a way, I've never found it. I generally don't bother; if they die, I use the Stone of Recall to teleport back to the temple to pick them up again. Even saves me the cost of having to heal them up...

On the henchman radial menu, try "follow me."

It pulls them out of combat mode and makes them move to you (depending on what distance they're set to follow you at). With SoU though, it got buggy and sometimes you have to tell them more than a few times - they take a few steps toward you, then change their mind and charge back in.

    Aggravating.

There is a retreat voice command in the voice sets, option S in the combat commands (v-w-s), but it does not apply to henchmen.

As has already been mentioned, the only real option is to use the "Follow Me" command (v-e-e) and flee yourself.

[IMG] It would be nice to have a "Brave Sir Robin" setting in the henchman AI... :hahaerr:

it is gd to put some henchman commands on the quickslots.. like 'follow me', 'stand ground', and 'attack nearest'. then i u wanna retreat.. juz click the 'follow me'.. to make sure ur henchman follows u, click multiple times. or exit the area.. the henchman will be at your side.

[IMG] Yup, those are easily my most-pushed quickbar buttons... -Sigh- I feel like I'm doing a Bil Cosby routine, "C'm'ere! Come here! Come HERE! COME OVER HEEEERE!!!"
