NWN restarting my computer?

    I decieded to give NWN another whirl after along abstance but now Ive run into alittle problem. Once Im inside the game (i.e actuly playing not character creation or anything.) Then I have about 30 seconds before it restarts my computer.

    If anyone can help me it is much appreciated.

    Take it as a sign not to play this rotten excuse for a game. Your computer restarting is a sign from Torm, Tyr and Tempus to play BG2 instead.

    Wow. What a brand of... nevermind.


    Have you tried the 1.67 Critical Rebuild patch? It does sound more like a GPU / CPU overheating problem though. Or possibly wrong drivers for something.

    Do you have a program to track computer temperatures?

    And NWN rocks. It's about as good as BG, just a totally different gamestyle.

    Another thing to try: check the game Sound Options and deactivate both EAX and Hardware Sound if enabled.

    Colthrun was preety much right I just put the sound on safe mode and it worked fine. Thanks for the help guys.

    You may be able to use the EAX options, as long as you keep Hardware Sound off. My own PC doesn't like that option.
