Does anyone play in that? Does it make NWN worth buying? Do any Mods make NWN worth buying? I played the Demo, and it doesn't seem too bad, but it doesn't seem all that great either. I am probably going to get WCIII... late I know, but it's still awesome.

I can play that for endless hours on battle.net, and it also has a pretty powerful editor.

It's difficult to say if ALFA makes NWN worth buying. It's still in beta testing, so it's not very persistent yet, but if you like roleplaying with real people, then sure, it's great. But if you don't like NWN to begin with, you may not like NWN no matter what.

I don't think the graphics are as bad as people made them out to be. I don't mind graphics if the gameplay is good enough. But... I don't know, them being the makers of BG has spoiled me. :)

I expect them to be perfect every time. :)

I guess NWN is not a buy for me then, unless I stumble upon a big wad of cash.

Graphics aren't too bad overall, it's more of a "which tilesets look good" situation. Forest and mines I think look very good, but rural, for example, I find to be just the pits. NWN can be better online depending on where you play. For single player, NWN really isn't a very good game. Multiplayer opened my eyes however, and I became a converted fan. As long as you feel comfortable with the controls and basic setup/look of the game (takes some getting used to), then online NWN can be a reason to buy the game. On the positive side, at least it's all free ;)

[IMG] How is it with snow? Has anyone made any Icewind Dale Mods that are good?

Don't know what your definition of 'looks good' is. There are a number of winter tilesets out there and I have seen some of them in use. Nothing earthshatteringly spiffy, but it definitely looked like a winter scene to me.

Even if ALFA did make the game worth buying, its so hard to get into that you probably wouldn't get to use it anyway...

I've tried multiple times to get in, but have failed repeatedly :( ...
