[IMG] OK, I am a bit excited by the game (despite not owning it yet). The class skills are somewhat confusing. I understand that the number of points is based on Int, class, race, etc.. What I don't understand is how many points can be used in a class skill per level?

At the beginning up to 4 points can be put into a class skill, and half that into a non class skill (cross class skill). At each level the class skills can be increased by 1 point, and the cross class skills increased by 1 every second level. This way your maximum score in a class skill is your level +3, and half that for a cross class skill.
Some skills are only ever able to be taken by a certain class, and only as a class skill eg: perform for a bard.

As many skill points as you have available can be spent on a given skill at each level up. The only restrictions are the number of points you have to spend and the cap which is your character level + 3 for class skills and half that (rounded down) for cross-class skills.

For example, I regularly save up points with my characters and put 5 skill points at a time into Tumble and/or Spellcraft since at a certain point the primary/only benefit to the skill only applies at ranks that are divisible by 5.

Intelligence yes, but also race (humans get a +1 bonus/level) and class (fighters & mages get 2/lvl, rogues get 8/lvl, etc.).
