How to kill the guardians at the tower? (Luskan)

    [​IMG] I've been playing NWN on and off on my spare time (which isn't much) so I guess I'm not much of a player...
    Anyway, here's my problem:
    I've done Luskan and got to the tower. Talked to the ambassadors and stole a key and Aribeth's journal from this room where a huge guardian was standing... The point is, I can't kill any of those guardians - their status is always uninjured or barely injured. Is there some particular spell I should use? I don't want to lose my precious experience by respawning because I'm only a level 10 wizard... Can anyone help?

    From what I remember, those things are nearly immune to magic, so a single wizard doesn't have much hope against them. You need a melee machine like Daelan along.

    Thanks Tal. Well, I would bring Daelan with me but the game ate my henchman. He died when I was fighting Voleron and my journal said he was back at the Temple of Tyr but I go there and he's nowhere to be found. Being a weak little rogue I don't think I can defeat the guardians on my own. Oh, well.

    Oh, yes... though getting to the console and using it is somewhat less user-friendly and more complicated that in IE games.

    Check http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/NWN/cons_com.php for a list of console commands. There are several other variants of it on SP too.

    When I try to cheat it says that the commands are not valid or not recognized. What does that mean? (And how do I fix it?) `

    You don't have to beat the guardians to complete this chapter...just move on and go to the next floor. I am a little concerned how a level 10 wizard will get through the tower without a tank for a henchman. I hope you have plenty of 'summons'.
