I had a similar situation when I was going against Balial in Charwood. If you can, try to use a henchman. I used tomi, who was able to sneak attack the demon to death. It was weird that he seemed to have no trouble hitting it, while none of my swings would connect.

i used an alternate way of going about defeating the dragon in the snow globe:

before engaging the dragon in combat, pick up the amulet of the ages and have the dwarf and nymph repair it. each side will cease to be hostile depending on which side you turn the snow globe while outside in the real world.

when the amulet of ages is complete, the dragon is defeated relatively easily. :)

[IMG] damn i did it the hard way :(
at any rate this is how i did it.
i beat on him with my swords and used 15-20 critical heel potions :p
i used a henchman to distract him and when the henchman died i would go to the temple and revive him (he died 3x)

I used a Greater Swordsman Belt and I only had to use one critical healing potion.
