HotU Story - SoU Continuation?

    Does the story for this game continue directly from SoU? I read a review, and it sounded like that...

    Well, the Stories are linked, but I wouldn't call it a continuation. It's an entire new story, but throughout the game it is assumed you were the hero from SoU. Kinda annoying, if you take your NWN OC Character through HotU, like I did...

    SoU is meant to take your character to about lvl12
    HotU is meant to be lvl15+

    At the moment Bioware/NWVault is running a competition for module builders to create a linking module to make up the 3 levels and join the 2 stories together (although they do link slightly anyway).

    is SoU ment to take your PC to Lvl 12??? im in chapter 2 of NWN and im lvl 13. then again i have no henchmen

    You are meant to start over in SoU with a level 1 character. I attained level 20 by the end of the original NWN campaign.

    So, do you have to import the character in or does it continue straightaway(like chapter 1 to chapter 2 and so on)?

    And I barely got to level 16 in NWN OC... How'd you get to 20?

    You have to import your character.

    As for reaching level 20 in NWN, I think it depends to some degree if you've got SOU installed. With SOU installed, you seem to get less experience for defeating enemies than you did originally (or maybe I'm just remembering it wrongly). Also, if you travel with a henchman you'll get more experience for killing enemies because they're always considered one level lower than you for calculating experience point rewards: hence travelling on your own garners you less experience than travelling with a companion. Strange but true.
