[IMG] I gotten through the Host Tower levels and approached the litch on the pinnacle floor and he told me to set him free i would need to destroy five things. Done. After that he allows you to go to the roof to talk to the main bad guy of Chapter Two. Only thing is, the gate requires a key in which i dont have or have ever seen. Please come back quick with something, cause i was flying through and now i stuck.

As far as I know, you don't need a key to get in there. As long as you see the scene with Aribeth and Maugrim and explore the room downstairs, you should be good to go.

I bashed the door down personally, but I know other people who never went through it at all. Once you see the scene, go back to Aarin Gend and talk to him.

What weapon? I tried everything hammers, swords, pretty much everything. It's telling a special key is needed.

Well, I don't know what the problem is. I just went through the gate pretty easy. I don't recall anything special being needed. I think I had the gladiator longsword at the time.

THing is he's freed. Told me not to be there when he got back. I am talking about the gate upstairs. I been to that guys lab and it seems to be a script error cause im not seeing anything. Sad thing is i dont remember anything about a key.

Alright, you mean the Gate that separates you from Maugrim and his ritual buddies? Did you see/hear the conversation Maugrim had with Morag and whatnot? It ended with Morag noticing you and everyone leaving?

If you did that, that's all you really need to do. You should be able to go back to Aarin Gend and move on to chapter 3. Like I said, I got through the gate with no real problems, but there wasn't anything worth doing over there.

Actuelly I had a problem there too.
    they didn't respond to me.
what i did was reverted my save game back about 15 mins and then came back did the champer first then went to the gate and they noticed me right away the second time and opened the gate for me.

Hmm, that's strange. They pretty much started that activity as soon as I ran up to the gate.

Did you go explore the downstairs room first? Someone speculated that doing so might screw up the script.

If I were you, I'd try going back to talk to Aarin Gend using the recall stone, if you haven't already done so. If he doesn't send you one to chapter 3, I think you'll have to go to an older save and try going to the door straight away.

the first time i went straight to the gate and nothing happened. the second time i went down to the lab first then to the gate and it worked fine.

actually the same thing happened to me in chap 1 too. for some reason the ceremony didn't start no matter what i did. so i went back to a previous save like 15-20 mins earlier and re did it and then it worked fine.

why would you only have 1 save and only the autosave at that? I'm a little paranoid about that i have 4 saves that i rotate through saving every 15-20 mins. and already in this game i have had one of my save files curropt and become unusable. So you should definitely keep 2 save files unless you don't mind starting all over again if something happens like a power surge and it crashes the game and destroys your current save file :aaa: even if it only happened once. if it happened when you where in chap 4 I'm guessing you would be upset.:sosad: I also export my char every cpl hours. guess I'm just paranoid. :mommy:
but you know i never have to start over
