Is the game totally Solo (i dont have it yet, but heard from a friend... who has been playing for a few hours) and he says he dont have a party... just a henchmen who dies all the time because he cant equip her..
So is ths game totally solo?

  2. Well, partly solo. The henceman will level up whenever you will and if you are a mage/sorcerer/druid/ranger you can have a pet/familiar. I have heard that you can have a romance with a henceman but I don't know since I haven't played it that much yet.

I hope this is just early game stuff... because as much as i like the looks and sound of the game, i like to have control over my party... guess they lost a sale... aww well

So is anyone actually SURE if its only a chapter 1 thing or is it forever.. and ya just need to hire ur help? (cuz from what my friend said) if ur a mage, ur a dead man... where as in BG2 u could be a mage and still have someone to do ur dirty work. (cuz if ur a mage u need a theif cuz im told there are tond of traps) and a mage + theif isnt a good combo for baddies

Yes, that's the way it is. It's you and possibly a single henchman and possibly a familiar/animal companion.

But you don't have to worry about traps if you're a mage, or any other class, just put some skill points in the Search skill, and you'll detect the traps. I haven't come across any unavoidable traps, and my Ranger is going it alone so far.
