Tomi Undergallows is the thief henchman you're looking for.

Most any character combo is OK.

You'll want high dex, pretty good str, con and cha too.

Yes, it is possible to wear armor and cast spells. However, they heavier suits of armors will give you up to 90% chance of arcane spell failure.

[IMG] Sure, any combo actually works in the SP campaign.

May I suggest that you consider the Rogue/Sorcerer instead?
You want to be an elf using Weapon finesse - perfect for a rogue.
It's not a good idea to wear armor because of the spell casting - no armor goes fine with a rogue.
Of course it depends on how many levels you want as sorcerer.

Or monk/sorcerer. Monks fight better with no armor, plus get a number of useful special abilities (including some thieving ones).

Yeah, Monk/Sorcerer was the Multiclass every BG2-powergamer dreamed about. When I start powergaming NWN, I will surely try him.

Although by choosing certain skills and abilities, you can sort of make kits yourself.

Nope, no such feat or special ability exists. However, if you char has a really high Dex, using heavy armour probably is not too wise, since all heavy armours don't have very good maximum dexterity bonuses. Monks have a feat (forgot the name) that adds the wisdom modifier to the AC, in addition to the DEX modifier.
