I've recently started to play Neverwinter Nigths. I'm in the chapter 2 in the east road. In the archeologist barracks there is a guy (Lenton) fighting with a dummy, i'm aware that he's supposed to give me a quest (i saw in the description of the troll head and later in a walkthrough). But he doesn't talk to me...it says that he appears busy and can't talk now. I already tried with the ring menu but he still doesn't talk.
There isn't some CLUA console in NWN like it were in BG series?

Edit: I've discovered the solution in the bioware forum...so for the guys that are having the same problem here goes the solution:
    1. save the game while standing next to him
    2. reload the game and press the "pause" button just before the game is completely reloaded (therefore the game will be paused when the in-game screen will appear - it is possible to do it since I did it many times)
    3. "talk" to him while the game is still paused !!!!! it should work now fine...

Thanks for the information, Laertis. I had to kill this freak in my game, because he pointedly ignored my well meant and overall polite advances. He just drove me MAD. I'll check out your solution the next time I play NWN.

Yeah, well, sorry mate, but do you have some kind of proof? I mean, anyone could stumble in here and claim to be the original bioware forum solution poster - especially since Laertis said so much in his post.

You know, I've got to be economical with my thanks, it is just the beginning of the month, who knows when one or two might come handy. If you've spent all your thanks by then, where would you be?

    "Hi all,
I know is probably too late for most people who play NWN the solution I provide, but here it comes...

In order to get Lenton's attention and get the reward after bringing the Troll Chieftain head to him (or receive the quest alltogether) all you have to do is:

    1. save the game while standing next to him
    2. reload the game and press the "pause" button just before the game is completely reloaded (therefore the game will be paused when the in-game screen will appear - it is possible to do it since I did it many times)
    3. "talk" to him while the game is still paused !!!!! it should work now fine...

No need to debugging nor charming/dominating him. He will take the head from your inventory unlike in the case of a charming/dominating solution...

Cheesy? Maybe...but it does the trick...
The game will continue without any problem and if other NPC's in the game will have the same problem...you know now how to solve it.."

HEHEHEH this is the link to the post I made in the BIO forum last month...
Morghak Steelhammer is the universal user name I use in all forums I post with regard to D&D CRPG games...old interplay boards, obsidian boards, wizards of the coast boards.
of course I don't need any special thanks...it was just a joke...I would have prefered for someone to at least use "QUOTE"...when copy-pasting from another forum...
I did put it there to be used by the whole community after all...so as I said, I am not bitter about it...and never was ;)
