Aec'Latec is very tough, and very satisfying when you finally beat him without any party members going ghoul on you. I found him harder than any BG2 enemies, outside of mods. Basilisks are kinda cool, but really easy to beat; cast protection from petrification on your best warrior and have her kill them all single-handedly.

I like the slimes. I don't know why, I just think they look neat and I like to kill 'em.

People keep saying phoenix guards keep exploding into fireballs when killed. This has never happened to me, are you sure they do or have I just been lucky?

[IMG] Basilisks. They always catch me without Stone-to-Flesh spells but if you find them first, a fireball or two gets you easy XP. The Doomsayer was pretty cool too. And about the Phoenix guards, I've also never had them go fireball on me. I wonder why...

thats kinda funny, maybe my computer is buggy or something but almost everytime i kill one they turn into a fireball, too bad the other pheonix guards are 100% resistant to the fireball :(

I have never had Phoenix Guards explode on me either. Hmm... my favorite monster
    I cant decide between:
    Ooompah
    Bassilus
    Sarevok
The Ogre Mage on Firewine Bridge
    Basilisks
    Tazok
He isn't an enemy, but the mage that has transmuted himself into a chicken is pretty cool too. Oh, and dopplegangers. In the Candlekeep catacombs, I think the Phlydia doppleganger is hilarious.

[IMG] well not really an enemy, but still fun to take down since his name is pretty much legendary, but Drizzt Do’Urden I would have to say was the best, with his dual scimitars and his awesome armor, was a hard foe to be fallen, especially playing solo.

Perhaps because he "has no need of people skills"? (His line when you've charmed him and have him attack the bandits) :D

Basilisks are not cool, they are annoying ;o Sarevok would be the "coolest" or perhaps Drizzt, but does he count :?

Aec'Letec and Karoug. Aec'Letec for the many tries to find out how to defeat him and Karoug for the tough fight in a small room (upper deck of shipwreck).

Sarevok has got to be the coolest character in the game...he has the complete coolest avatar, and an insanely cool voice.
But as for coolest monster/race/type of character; I'd have to say the Flaming Fist ("I AM the law!") or wyverns...I love wyverns (but not as much as dragons, but there aren't any dragons in this game).

Personally I think Bassilus was the coolest. He was so nuts, but a big softie at heart. ;)

I always enjoy battling Centeol, since I always get to tell her she's fat. And Brage, since he has an interesting story to him.

    Doppelgangers!
When they run at you, yelling "Your time is done, primate", I get goosebumps running down my neck.. :D Oh, and the way they scream when you kill them.. :) Nothing beats them!
