No, i don't have any mods installed and have the latest patch.

The exact same thing happend to my friend on his system.

We both have ATI cards (X800XT - me and 9000PRO - him), but we have different copies of the game!

He tried tons of drivers and couldn't fix it.

    Is this problem uncommon?

It only happens to me when I change the font in icewind.ini, have you by any chance done that ?
(Or perhaps the font is missing from your system somehow ?)

    :jawdrop:
I have never heard of this before

OK, i've installed the game on a different system, running Windows 98 (a P3 500 Mhz) and it does the same thing. I'm beggining to suspect that my copy of the game has something. Unfortuncately it's "a little" too late to change it now. So i'll try to get a hold of a new copy...

Any other suggestions from you guys?
