    1) Umber Hulk shells, wolf pelts, and yeti skins
    2) Moth Eaten Leather bought from the elf merchant in Severed Hand.

I've had these for awhile and was just wondering if they had any possible use later on. (Why on Aber-toril would you need "moth eaten" equipment is beyond me...)

I've also read a post a week ago, describing how no one would buy pelts and yeti skins, but it seemed like the only way to fix that was to install Trials? Is there another way to get them to buy it? I was absolutely sure that Conlan bought the yeti skins before I went to Wrym's Tooth.

No to all the items except the umber hulk shells. Those arent required, but can be turned into armour at a later date.

Do you know whether or not the rotted honeydew and moth cloth have any purpose at all?

O yea, and why doesn't anyone purchase wolf pelts or yeti skins?

Nope. anything rotten sold to you in the hand has no purpose at all.

As for the pelts, I've never bought them.

I thought someone in Kuldahar would buy pelts from you. Conlan perhaps? It's been a while so I might be wrong.

The wolf pelts and yeti skins are only good for selling. IIRC Conlan and the guy in the SW cabin in Kuldahar both buy them.
Umber Hulk shells can be used by the Druegar in Dorn's Deep to create armor and sheild. Nym can then enchant the sheild further. Dont hold your breath though, it takes about 10 days for the enchantment to be cast.
Dont tell me you actually bought that stuff  Sell it back dude. No one else will buy it.

I'll also add that Conlan's prices drop as you sell pelts and other items to him. Meaning, you should save everything up for one massive dump on him, to get the most gold.

Mainly goes for pelts, but gems as well. Clear out an entire area and sell everything in one load, at the end.

Maybe I should have done that then...I do need quick cash to pay for some last minute items.

Hey, give me a break, how often do you encounter "moth-eaten" equipment? I mean, if a sack of potatoes was a useful item what makes you think this wouldn't be?

What do you need the money for anyways? The only items I couldn't buy easily were Conlan's special weapons. And by the time I could afford them, I had already found better ones.

There are also the squirrel and the birds in their cages sold by Nym the merchant from the Underdark: hilarious!

One of my favourite item is the jester's bag of holding, plenty of dead cats for everyone... ;)

The squirrel and the birds are used to help repair the arboretum at the top of one of the towers of the Hand of the Seldarine.

The yeti pelts and winterwolf pelts can be sold in Kuldahar in the item shop (a bit south of Orrick's tower)... Only disadvantage is that the price you get for these pelts will drop with 5 gold every time you sell him such a pelt...
First one, I think, gets you a 125 gold, the second 120, and so on...
It would be wise to sell a few for the cash, but don't start 'trading' in it, because it's not rentable...!
