    [IMG] hi all....

    my first post here!

A friend was SO enthused about Icewind, the I took his advice and bought it! "so immersive", he says....even if i have 30 games yet to play!!

    I found the Collector's set, for $20.
    Has Icewind and HOW.
*then* i discovered the Tales of the luremaster!
    Gotta get that!!
    *then* i discover Sorcerer's place.
*THEN* i discover Winter's Bane and project Auril!!

looks good, i am downloading today, takes a while with that chokepoint server, but as they say, on their site, "bandwidth is not free"

    http://www.frontiernet.net/~nfbunch/wb/downloads2.html
--the home of winter's bane/auril, says that they have the proper versions for to use with Lure, and they tell me about the proper installing and that they work ok with Trials of the Luremaster.

A poster on Planetbaldur's gate says that all of the winter mods/auril mods work togther, with Lure, and that the

that he has "Some" of the componets also installed.

my question then leads me to this....just *WHAT components of Ease-of-use pack are ok to use. i have already installed this one but i installed, i think, all but the dualclass option to lower the entrance to dual-class.

perhaps, too, i should ask what other mods can be run with winter's bane and project auril and that Luremaster?!
Sorcerors net has a few, but i wonder, *before* i begin my game, what others are out there that are Compatible? i want to run them all, on one gameplay, as i have so so so many other games yet to play!

here i am, retired and 62 and i play games.
I live in a "senior residence, never too too old to play rpgs.

    thanks....

[IMG] Welcome aboard! There are hardly any IWD mods of any signifance out there. What there is, you can find on SP.

As for Ease-of-Use... read the descriptions of what each of the components does, and then install what you like. It's totally up to you.

Yeah, I have used those mods and they do add some interesting items. The Ease of Use has not seem to have affected Winter's Bane or Project Auril.

Grog continues to make enhancement packs and I eagerly await his efforts. Some of the early encounters can be quite hard but I am not sure I agree with the decision to put a pair of +3 weapons in the first major area right off the bat.

    Enjoy.

Thanks for your post. I will no be able to breathe some fresh air into IWD now that Winter's Bane is up and running TOLM style. I always loved that game...

The game is just perfect just the way it is... Oh well, you can put Trials of the Luremaster for something else (I still haven't done it), but overall I think IWD is just a nice, "drunken punch-up at a wedding" (like Radiohead) just the way it is... :) :D ;)
