[IMG] I'm playing thru IWD again, after a long hiatus. I've got Heart of Winter and Trials of the Luremaster installed. I'm currently in Dragon's Eye.

I thought Haste added an extra attack to everybody. But that doesn't appear to be happening.

I don't remember this being a problem when I played before, but in my current game whenever I cast Haste my number of attacks don't seem to change. The attacks number in the 'Record' screen doesn't change. But I've also set the 'stop at end of round' and 'show to hit rolls' options and used that to count my attacks, and the results show that I'm not getting any extra attacks for being hasted.

I've done the same test with an Oil of Speed and the results were the same.

Is this a bug? Has anybody encountered the same problem?

That's not a bug. The spell haste, oils of speed and boots of speed only improve your movement rate. They won't double your number of attacks. The sixth level mage spell Improved Haste will improve movement rate and doube your attacks. Maybe thats what your thinking of. Unfortunatly that spell is not in the game so....

I dont think that is correct. The description for Haste says it doubles movement and attacks. I seem to remember it working that way the first time I played (which was without Luremaster).

I'm wondering if Luremaster changed the way the spell works, or introduced a bug for Haste? Does anybody know?

According to the spell description, haste improves your 'attack rate', not your number of attacks. I assume this means the speed factor of your weapon would be reduced and you may have a chance of getting an earlier attack(s) per round.
