I was just mucking around earlier on IWD making what I thought really dumb characters, the wirds thing is the combo WORKED
    the party was

    Hannah - F Elf Ranger
    Jeni - M Human Druid
    Lililoular - F Elf Ranger
    Bjorka - M Human Paladin
    KarakruTura(SLT) - Human Transmuter/Thief
    Garon - M Human Fighter

it levels up fairly fast and is actually one of the coolest parties I've ever made, 3rd place, 2nd is 'The violence is everything' party and there is the 'Balance be served' party

    Anyone got any better parties?

I went through once with (off the top of my head):

    Human Female Paladin
    Human Male Paladin
    Dwarven Fighter/Cleric
Elven Male Fighter (Specialized in Archery)
Elven Female Fighter (Specialized in Archery)
Elven Male Mage/Thief (Specialized in Offensive Spells)

Note that all three tanks have healing abilities, which quiet handy. When something is pretty beat up, the other two (or all three :p) cast healing spells on it. I had the two archers and mage stand together, like an isle of ranged attack. They killed anything that got past my frontliners before it got close.

The best party I came up with, was:
    Faerus Stoneslammer, M Dwarf Fighter
    Kirass Stoneslammer, M Dwarf Cleric
    Samarin Durhelm, M Human Paladin
    Kelwyn Skymane, M Elf Ranger
    Sinya Skymane, F Elf Fighter/Thief
    Koslur Mistywind, M Gnome Illusionist/Cleric
    A pretty well-balanced party, it's got a bit of everything...almost...

    [IMG] I went with:

    Belisarius: Human Paladin
    Thorfin Skulsplitter: Dwarf Fighter
    Bronwyn Siannodel: Half Elf Ranger
    Eowyn Elfhelm: Half Elf Cleric
    Nimbul Alewine: Halfling Fighter/Thief
Galadon the Blue: Illusionist or Conjurer (I can't remember)

A pretty decent party...I usually had Nimbul and Bronwyn go stealth mode to scout ahead of the party, attacking with bows most of the time, but sometimes with the Ranger coming out of the shadows to attack a foe, with Nimbul getting behind for a backstab attack. Overall an effective group!

I've never liked druids in my party...I don't know why. I've wanted to add a bard, but they seem so underpowered with everything! So I usually stick to one full cleric type, one full mage type, one straight fighter, a thief, my paladin, then the last slot is usually whatever I'm in the mood to make - in this case - a ranger.

    I had a
    Druid - Human M - Thomas
    Enchanter - Elf F - Annie
    Cleric - Human F - Deya
    Fighter - Half-Elf F - Neolorna
    Theif - Elf M - Jimmy
    Conjurer - Half-Elf F - Monika

I completed the game in record time with this!

I like my balanced party for HOW:

    Gnome M Fighter
    Half-Elven F Druid
    Halfling M Thief
    Elven F Cleric
    Human M Bard
    Human F Necromancer

once the Bard gets the final song, they're unstoppable

(dual class the cleric, druid, mage, and thief from fighters if you want more "tanks")

    My favorite party consisted of

    Male Dwarf Fighter
    Male Dwarf Thief
    Male Dwarf Cleric
    Male Elf Wizard
    Male Elf Ranger

I have never used all 6 slots but I really don't need to.

[IMG] I beat the game with this party.

    Human - Paladin
    1/2 Elf - Fighter
    Dwarf - Cleric
    Gnome - Thief/Illusionist
    Elf - Druid
    1/2 Elf - Bard

A good strong front line with the two warriors and the cleric and good magic/missile backup from the Druid, Bard, and Mage in the back.

    Human Ranger
    Human Invoker
    Halfling Fighter/Thief
    Dwarf Fighter/Cleric
    Half-elf Fighter/Druid

    got through rather easily.
