[IMG] I use Win95b and i don`t want to change that, because of my Computer being old and some other reasons...
IWD needs Winsock2, though i don't want to play it over internet i have to install winsock2. Is this true? Or is there a way to cheat the program (tell him i have winsock2 though i don't have).
When i have winsock2 installed my browsers won't work, because i'm using win95b. So i can play IWD or surf in the internet. :flaming:
Don't tell me i should use winxp.
I know it would be better to use Linux, but i'm too lazy and have not enough time to become really acknowledged.

Have you tried to download and run DUN1.4? This will update winsock2 also and it should be compatible with your browser.

What specific error message do you get once you install winsock2 and try to run your browser or other internet apps?

[IMG] Thanx for your help. I will try to download DUN 1.4 when i finish Realms of Arkania (1,2,+3) which i began to play after i was fed up with this damn network problem (suppose i have to download DUN1.4 at the microsoft website, which i don't like at all).
I had no error message at all. But i found on opera-websites it was a known bug. There was told one can change opera settings to make it more slow. But that didn't worked either. And IExplorer failed to work too. But my mailprogramm had no problems.
It took me some hours to restore Winsock1 without a new installation of windows. It was horrible. :almostmad:
