I accidentally made a sarcastic remark there and are no one except Keldor wants to talk to my character anymore, everyone else tells me to leave until I have learned to behave or so ...

I still can forge something and get the murder quest from Keldor, but since no one wants to talk I can't solve it, I only hear that I have to try later or so ...

My question is: How long do I have to wait or what do I have to do in order to make the others talk to my character again normally instead of telling the guards to escort me out ?

I tried to rest a few days, joined the dustmen, ... but it didn't help.
Is the quest broken forever ?

I've never heard of that. You may be hosed.

Joining another faction won't do it...in fact, that might make things worse.

Did you try talking to Saros, Bedai-Lihn, and Thildon? One of them should give you some kind of clue. If you get even one alibi from either Thildon or Saros, you can use that to make an accusation to Keldor, which should complete the quest.

Hopefully you have an older saved game.

[IMG] I had the same problem, just messed things up a little earlier. It seems to be a bug, being listed and fixed here: http://www.planescape-torment.org/
Sadly, it does not help us in the running game, but requires us to start over. I will try to load an earlier file and avoid the problem with the fix installed. I'll report my success or failure.

    >> edit 1: You can go on playing (without finishing the foundry-related quests) if you kill Nadilin in the lower right. Do it via the dialogue option and only 1 guard will attack you. No great harm, just lots of missed xp and items :/

edit 2: After installing the fix, I tried to load the game and avoid all the trouble. When facing Thalion with his rude manners again, I once again was asked to leave the foundry.
When being extremely polite, i did not have any problems.
Result: You have to load the game and change your style in playing.
The fix might not work when loading old games but is supposed to work for new games. I have not tested this, nor will I do so in the near future; perhaps someone else could share his or her knowledge?
