[IMG] Hey there, is there any way to get the conversation thread with Stale Mary to get to the Silent King's chamber after you initially talk to her? Cause I want to get in there without having to fight everyone.. and if I try to go the violent way, Hargrimm the Bleak totally whoops my ass with that lightning attack... is he the one that holds the key, or is there another way to get in, as I cant seem to force the lock to the Silent King's chamber...

any help would be appreciated! thanks

I think you just talk to stale mary about the silent king, she'll tell you about the portal, and then go to the archway and the portal will appear.
If that doesn't work I dont know. I recall there being some quests you have to do for hargrimm or something, have you done those yet?

you need a high charisma in order for mary to open the portal for you. an 18 i think? iirc, hargrimm is the one that holds the key. if not him then certainly one of the skeleton guards in front of the chamber

Well I guess I'll cast all my buffs, surround hargrimm, and send him to the true death...

A 16 Charisma should suffice, iirc. You can only convince Mary to let you see the King *before* Hargrimm has given you his permission to leave. If you talk to her after that, the dialogue option is gone and the only way in is violence or stealing the key (which leads to violence at one point or another).

You can get in either by asking Stale Mary (with a Charisma of 16) or by taking the key from Hargrimm.

If you don't want to fight Hargrimm, you can pickpocket him if you're a thief, but the entire Dead Nations will turn hostile when you unlock the door.
