Daybreakers, which was a suprisingly fresh take on vampire horror, something that has recently been obliterated by True Blood & co.

I watched it last night as well Tri. I enjoyed it. Kind of comical, aliens were convincing, the lead character was enjoyable, moron that he is. Very entertaining movie.

Yeah, I especially liked the main actor. Even more when I found out afterwards that he had no acting experience and didn't even want to be an actor before doing the film. I thought his performance was amazing!

I also saw Pandorum last night... uhhh... it was basically painful to watch to the very end. I thought the premise was pretty good, but after 20 minutes or so, it loses it flavor. And fast. It looks like it was written in 40 minutes by a 5 year old... I don't recommend it at all.

You'll love this piece of info as well, he improvised all his dialogue in District 9. Although it wasn't mention if he was even been given a script or not.

Just saw the movie version of A-Team. Seems like it didn't do that well with the ticket sales. But for what it's worth, I immensely enjoyed it and it is very much the cheesy, quirky, wacky, ol' A-Team that we enjoyed as kids.

Watchedd Unthinkable with Carrie Anne Moss & Samuel L Jackson. Not bad, thoguh the ending was cut short I thought.

I watched a movie called Rampage. Yeah...Uwe Boll movie...To my surprise though, it was actually quite good. Boll seems to be improving alot. Still there is no excuse for Alone in the Dark, and the Bloodrayne movies...

I actually liked Pandorum quite a bit. Sure, it had too many of the "where am i and what is this" in the dark stalking scenes, but overall i'd definitely give it 7+/10.

Actually watched Eclipse. Though i'm generally very much against mainstream popularized phenomenons like Twilight definitely is, not to mention it's a onetrick pony in my opinion as well, i didn't abhor it. A few scenes made me puke in disgust (like the marriage proposal scene) and it was rushing the story to get to the all important action at the end (reminds me of Avatar/Titanic 1 hour story followed by 1 hour mindless action scenes, if less extreme here). If i manage to ignore the zombie-brained fans i'd toss it 5/10 overall with Kristen Stewart dragging it out of the acting muck yet again. She made it worth watching, it's just so rare to see a young actor with that kind of subtlety. Makes for a stark contrast against most actors these days, overacting as they are. Maybe that's why she appears completely wooden to a lot of people, dunno.

I just watched Pandorum myself. I thought that it was enjoyable for a science fiction space horror picture.

A storm sends the bigger part of the city into a massive place without electricity the other night. So me and my colleagues ended up in a mall (with generators) yesterday watching Toy Story 3. Wow, that was one heck of a movie, we were just laughing all the way. The bummer of it was just when Andy was about to part with Woody... the part were most people's tears were starting to well up, well they switch to normal power.

Watched Черная молния. (Russian film, "Black lightning")

    Charming little car. :)

Flying Volga + in Russian = Awesome

Has a few genre-related predictable twists and some bits of pacing are off, but in general, rather enjoyable. Very snazzy choice/consequence sequence.

Inception - You should all see this.

Predators - solid followup to the first film.

THE LAST AIR BENDER - I never saw the anime nor read the manga, not bad in 3D. But you'll have to wait for the real ending... it's geared up for a sequel (or sequels).

INCEPTION - great film about doing crimes and a lot of great actions while sleeping. This would have been even better if it had a 3D version.

'The Final' (as in, the horror movie from 2009)... well... some scenes were aesthetically pleasing, but the moral was extra lame, and
evil did not get to triumph, alas. And it had the cliche Cool Old Guy and Black Guy Who Does the Right Thing characters. Sigh.

I've seen Inception, Book of Kells, MiniMacs (if that is the right name), and Predators and liked them all.

    Inception was a neat movie.

Predators is not as good a movie but I don't feel like I wasted my money seeing it and it actually surprised me by being better than I was afraid it would be.

Just saw Nosferatu the Vampyre, a 1977 remake with Klaus Kinski. It is now my favorite vampire movie since a) it is damned good, and b) most of the external scenes were taken in Delft :D

Watched SALT and Kick @ss. Salt was ok but failed to impress me that much. Kick @ss, on the other hand, far exceeded my expectation. Funny and action pack. It's just a bit unnerving to see an eleven year old girl doing a John Woo-type of Kill Bill.
