I guess "Shouldn't be hard" made it worse?
It was a Japanese oral test conversation. Anyways, I think I did rather well...
In other news: 96% on Classics Test! Yay!

Could have been worse. Imagine studying Japanese Tentacles, or something similar.

Well done Deathmage- that's a pretty good result.

The former being the older established one while the latter is the newer and more specific towards vocational and creative degrees.

    Thanks, Decados.
Exam time! Okay, books I have to read:
16 for History (or thereabouts...chapters sould suffice)
    Euridipes' Trojan Women, Bacchae
Sophocles' Oedipus Rex, Ajax and Philoctetes
    Homer, Iliad
Shakespeare, Tempest, and reread Henry V, Merchant, Twelfth Night, Othello, Hamlet.

Oh, I just love being an Arts student...

btw, got my History Essay 2 back today. A damn B+ again. Coursegrade total: A-. Guh. Just in case you think I'm a total njub, my last Classics essay got A+. I guess that kind of paves out my future path for me...

@Morgoth: If your co-worker happens to be Brian Golding, then he wrote one of the 16 books I have to read. Give him my thanks.

I think he is from the older one then, since his specialization is some field of sonar research.

@Deathmage: Nope sorry, that is not his name ;)

    Two down, two to go.

Btw, it's been years since I've read an actual book for my exams (textbooks excluded). I'm not sure whether this saddens me or makes me happy?

Good luck to all stuck in exam dimensions of any kind. :)

Damn it, caught the procrastination bug. Maybe I should get Taluntain to ban me temporarily.

Plans for the next five days: Pharmacognosy (= Botany of medicinal herbs + Medicinal chemistry, sprinkled with Pharmacology... in short)
When I read it, I feel like a shaman/medicine man who's just discovered chromatography

Lore, that last sentence brings the image of you dressed as a traditional shaman and juggling toxic chromatographic solvents while doing a ritual dance around a flow hood

Don't forget a cauldron with dried herb bits, hooked to a Soxlet apparatus and silika gel in my hair, Z. :p
P.S. 270 pages to go. Oh joy.

Something is wrong here in the Netherlands. I can follow two (or even three!) studies at the same time, but only have to pay for one. And a year of uni is really cheap - 1500 a year, - so I am suspecting some adder in the grass here.

Btw, I'm planning to start a 3-year philosophy bachelor in February and follow it up with a 2-year CS master in September '09.

190 pages of plants and chemicals behind me, 0 left.
I'm not sure I remember much, but it sure feels good to be done. :)

Guh, trying to study, but feeling scatterbrained. Have also picked up a fleeting flight of fancy that wants to occupy my time, though I'm trying to repress it and hope it still has wings after exams finally end (the day cannot come soon enough - well, I suppose it can, because if it came tomorrow or so I would have failed. But still).

Got my last essay back today.
    DM's Results
    History: B+, B+
    Shakespeare: B-, B+
    Classics: A+

When will DM breach the path of mediocrity in matters other than Classics? When?

Exam in 20 minutes... I want to go back to the RP I spent five hours on yesterday. :(

    DM: Time for Henry? :)

EDIT: (post exam) Three down and one to go.

Exam tomorrow - I am super****ed. I don't even know objective-c! Taking crash-course now. Unfortunately whoever created it decided to rape the nice simple clean syntax of c - there is a reason that everyone doing this course chose c++ instead!

    To DM and Aik:

Good Luck, from the bottom of my heart, guys.

ION: Exam in 10-15 days... my family wants me to take it more than me. Guess I better go work on it.
