Evocation as it covers the most ground with Flame Strike and Fire Storm plus the various deity spells for being a Talonite. Transmutation is only really good for Tremor, IIRC.

Note that all of the above mentioned spells compete for spells slots with the cleric's best disablers, Greater Command and Symbol: Hopelessness, which in turn benefit from spell focus Enchantment. During normal mode, Evocation is usually better but in HOF, you're better off disabling your enemies rather than using several large caliper AoE damage spells to bring them down. :)

So, your saying that Evocation and Enchantment are the best two spell focus feats? I said Transmuation because I thought The Stormloard has tons of Transmuation spells. What about Necromancy?

Is that what he is saying? I think I am going to take Evocation to start off, Improved Critical, Dash, get dual wield feats from level of Ranger, Scion of Storms, Spirit of Flame, Dirty Fighting, Power Attack, Cleave,Discipline, and then 2 levels of either Enchantment or Necromancy? I might cut out Dash for Iron Will. What do you think anything you would change?

Talonite? Were talking Talos, not Talona here. Some Realmsian Loremaster you are! Your Candlekeep Registration is hereby REVOKED!:p

If you really want to make your cleric a bombardier, Evocation is the way to go. Especially for someone who worships Talos. (What's the correct moniker for that one, btw? Talosian?) I'm just pointing out that most of the cleric's spell arsenal concentrates on stuff where none of the spell focus feats are relevant. And while Symbol of Hopelessness is very much Enchantment-like, it's actually schoolless spell now that I think of it..

Your feat list seems quite OK, except for maybe Scion of Storms and Spirit of Flame. Those would actually require you to have an effective skill rank of 10 in Spellcraft skill, which in turn requires either being a Human or an INT score of 12+ to have enough skillpoints after the obligatory Concentration. If you do meet the requirements, by all means. :)

For what it's worth Heisenberg, you really want to listen to Sir Rechet's advice on this game. He's extremely knowledgeable about it (far more than I am) and has written 1 of 2 commonly referenced guides for creating powerful parties in IWD2.

His guide, called Jukka's Ultimate Powergaming Party, or JUPP, can be downloaded from the IWD2 section here on Sorcerer's Place.

He's a serious number cruncher, and an ultimate power gamer. ;)
