40 ? you mean 40 years old ? Err... I thought my birthday date was public, I'm 23 ! 40, that's like, a life time away... Actually from what I'm seeing on the multiple job search engine I'm visiting daily the bulk of jobs available in the greater Montreal area is primarily in the service sector, y'know human resources, sales, customer service, that kind of thing. I'd have to expatriate myself in more rural areas to get a "physical labour" job; which I really don't want in the first place. I'm a city dweller, an urban man, and all those not-so-witty epithets.

Does that mean you're 6 years past the expiration date? :p

Call me an idiot, but I guess Flix is a cat or something. 40 is a lifetime away. He's now 23, so 17 years is a lifetime to him and because he's 23, he's 6 years past the "expiration date", yet he's still alive. He could have multiple lives like a cat, you know: Ofelix - Felix (the cat) - Feline.

Argh... I should stop my rambling and try to sleep. It's pretty warm and humid here now though...

Also, what I don't get: Last time I (and our most beloved Albertan Femme) checked, it appeared there was a 6 hrs time difference between Holland and Alberta, Canada. But now it appears to be 8 hrs.

MoN, the time difference between Holland and Ontario, Canada would be six hours. Alberta is pretty far west of here (here being Ontario, that is) so they are a further two hours behind.

Too many time zones in this country. Heck, Vancouver is four and a half hours behind St. John's, Newfoundland!

My job has me emailing people all over the globe, from Canada and the US to Holland and the rest of Europe and also a few Asian countries so time zones are something I have to be way more aware of than I ever would have liked :p

Do you forward joke e-mails and silly video links and the occasional NSFW porno link all over the globe while at work, reep? ;)

I always wondered who those people are who specialize in that. We all have at least one - the smut king, or the lame joke guy, or the useless trivia gal, or the vigilant uninteresting link dude who keeps us updated on ... uninteresting stuff. :p

Lol I guess you are right about that Gaear. I know when I used to work a particular company all of those people were present. The smut guy was one of the reps who sold tape and glue - at one point he stopped telling his dirty jokes because I think someone complained, the lame joke guy was one of my bosses, the useless trivia gal was actually the other boss although it was a "he" and not a gal, and the vigilant uninteresting link guy was an older fellow who was still living through his Vietnam days.

Oh man, I wish! If I could get paid for sending dirty emails I'm sure I would have managed to get a huge bonus by now.

Uh uh... so... I'm allergic to myself (being allergic to cats) ? -- Y'know I was speaking metaphorically a life time away being a long time away ?

I'm sure I've said this before over the years but Canada is pretty damn huge, 9,984,670 km2 to be exact Ad Mari usque Ad Mare indeed ! Also it's 8.92% water having approximately 3% of the world's clear water reserve. what? I actually remember stuff from High School geography... Only Russia is bigger in term of total land area. Russssssiiiiia * sorry 'bout that.

*since we already have a Picard face palm smilie, I say we also need one of Kirk, arms in the arm going "khaaaaaaaaaaaan" -- y'know from Wrath of Khan ? anyone ? C'mon I'm not the only one who've seen Wrath of goddamn Khan !

I would like to see a Kirk smilie. And who can't love William Shatner? He is so cheesy but wears it perfectly.

I remember when I was growing up my neighbour used to have one of those outside and it was always full of bugs so I think they do.

Figures the one day in the past three weeks that it rains is the day of my cousin's wedding! Really hope she was planning an indoor ceremony or I feel like she'll be in a pretty bad mood later.

On that note, time to go get myself cleaned up and presentable for the occasion! This will be the first time I've seen many of my relatives in a few years, don't want them to get a bad impression of me ;)

Enjoy seeing your relatives Reepnorp :) Take lots of photos if you don't see them often.

    @Merlanni -

That is a pretty significant number. Any particular feelings towards it?

Just hooked up an antenna to my TV, free HD woo! Can't afford cable so gotta make due. Ok so I get only 6 channels, SRC, TVA, TQC, CTV, Global, CBC, and some native american show subtitled in Portuguese.... that one is weird ! I'd understood if it were subtitled in either French or English but, Portuguese ?

reepnorp; enjoy the wedding, when my sister got married about a year ago I meet relatives I didn't know I had. Y'know like Hey I'm the son of your mother's second cousin once removed, nice to meet you!. Chances are I'm never gonna meet the guy again, meh.
