    hey guys

so after lots of patience i was able to finish severed hand and got the mythal theory book for orrick. however, i think i've read that upon handing orrick the book of mythal theory, one was supposed to recieve a shield of some kind. but in my case i didn't recieve a shield from orrick upon giving him the mythal book. instead of a shield i recieved a ring, a bone ring with some magical abilities. what gives????

[IMG] I don't remember what I got from Orrick, but it definitely wasn't a shield...

If you got the ring, that's normal. He didn't give you anything before applying the patch and after the patch, it was fixed that he gives you that ring.

He can't make a shield either. You can create that shield from the console but it's not supposed to be in the game.

IWD has a random treasure generator so you don't always get the same things. If I remember right theres about 5 different things he can give you for the book.
