[IMG] I have been a huge fan of all the games set in the Might and Magic world created by new world computing.

Which games of the following have you played and what is your opinion of them.

Heroes of Might and Magic 1
Heroes of Might and Magic 2
Heroes of Might and Magic 3
Heroes of Might and Magic 4

Might and Magic I - IX

    Legends of might and magic

I played everything except for the first five Might and Magic and loved them all (yes even Might and Magic IX). I even enjoy a great battlematch of Legends.

    Played almost all(except 1) Heroes of M&M.
They're great games. The only problem they've got is expansion abusing (see below).
    Great for multiplayer.

Tried M&M and left it alone for an eternity. The fifth one was the only one worth playing. After that all went down and down.
I mean what's the difference between 5 and 8??? Nothing at all.

And what i especialy dont like is the politic of New World Computing.
They are abusing M&M licence. M&M are released one after another on the market without any real difference between them. Just pure money-making.

Almost the same goes for HoM&M. They release a new game with some differences of the previous game and then release at least 3 expansions for a normal expansion price.
And whats in the expansion box???
A few new maps anyone can download from internet, a few new units(never more than 10) and a new campaign or two.
And thats not worth the box it's sold in.period

[IMG] Faerun is 10 times better and more sophisticated than Erathia(the Might&Magic world)! But it was fun too. :)

Heroes of Might and Magic II (of course with the Price of Loyalty expansion) is one of the best computer games ever made. The only two I can think of which are better, are Settlers II and of course Heroes of Might and Magic III (with Armagedon's Blade and Shadows of Death). Those two Heroes games are so close to perfection, it's almost scary. Number 4 was of course a huge let down, but I still have hopes for number 5.

I've played Might and Magic IV-IX, though I've never completed the last one (I got kind of far, but then bugs made sure I couldn't do my quests!) or the two first. Number 6 is very good, number 7 is awesome and number 8 is OK.

I've played Might and Magic 1 and 2. Beat 1, got stuck in 2. I have Might and Magic 3-5, but I haven't gotten around to playing them yet. Partly it's because I'd like to finish 2 before continuing, so that made me lose a little interest.

I haven't tried Heroes of Might and Magic yet.

    @Mollusken,
That's the word.May the gods help NWC with Heroes V because it's their last chance of regaining my trust in them. And as I see nobody said nothing about the greatest of all abuses - the chronicles and Tarnum......
One more thing - expansions aren't so bad, at least Armageddon's Blade and especially Shadow of Death are one of the best I've seen and definitly worth the price....
