When trying to install ToB, it reaches 95%, then does nothing. I tried to copy the contents of the CD to my computer, to try to install from there, but when it tried to copy laserlok.in, it encountered a "Data error (cyclic redundancy check)". Is there any way of saving the CD so I don't have to buy a new one? Laserlok.in sounds quite important...

EDIT #1: ...and ten seconds after I make this post, the installation decides to finish. Dreadfully sorry about that. Although everything seems to be running very slowly - perhaps all it needs is a clean or something.

EDIT #2: ...and after a clean, it runs properly too. Sorry.

Even though the problem's solved I'll add this for future reference. This error can be caused by 3 things: your CD being dirty, your CD being damaged, or the CD drive being faulty (usually a dirty or scratched lens). If you clean the CD and the problem persists, and you suspect the drive, you can always put the CD in another drive and see if the problem persists.

Yeah, had the same problem with my first BG2 CD. Turns out it was faulty and i then returned and I got it for free! It seems there was a virus on there BEFORE I bought it! But i guess your's was just dirty, which is strange because you just bought it ... luckily it all worked out for you eh!

Oh, my ToB CD's an ancient thing; I've had it since it first came out. I've played through the game so many times I'm not sure exactly of the number. I just fancied another play. :D

Uh oh I had a similar problem, my ToB CD just didn't want to install, it always stayed at Setup, and my driver could not read it. Then I had it cleaned a bit, and it worked at the second try. (thankfully) just so you know.

Yeah that happened to me Silverstar, but cleaning mine didn't do a thing ... it was corrupt :( . Did your's stop after the fourth disk and come up with a message like "cannot read (some crazy ass file name)" and then just exit the installer?
