Folks, I've finally got them. Just couldn't really skip them. Now I know what I'm going to play with Crown, but when I think of Pirates, it doesn't really strike me as a sword & shield all-around paladin module. ;) I'm wondering what mixed class combo would be fun to play. Got any ideas? No spoilers, please!

BTW, I'm thinking about STR 14, DEX 10, CON 10, INT 14, WIS 14, CHA 15 as per standard - that's pretty much what works the best for me. I've pulled off higher INT for fun, but the ease of use generally drops, plus I miss the fun of having a high Charisma score. As far as physical stats go, I'd rather not go under 8 on any, although I've occasionally handled sub-10 scores and I think I've matured enough as a roleplayer to handle it. ;) 14 is tops I want to put in any physical stat and I'd rather not start with more than 15 in any mental one, either. I've been meaning to try a Paladin/Ranger/Harper Scout combo for a while, but I think that's probably best left for a module where you go orc hunting or undead hunting or some such, with lots of magic flying and not extremely powerful mundane opponents. Paladin/Rogue doesn't strike me as too fulfilling, although it'd blend well with HS levels and provide a good opening in terms of skills. Been wondering a bit about Monk for reasons of going without armour, but that makes no sense without stellar DEX and WIS scores. CoT isn't bad and it could blend well with a paladin that's low on spells for multiclassing such as Rogue or Ranger paladin, but paladin spells in NWN1 aren't that bad. Opinions, anyone?

    For Privates I would go with a Figther/Rogue, Rogue/Wizard, Bard, or a Rogue/WM.

Thanks! For the record, I finished Pirates the day before yesterday with a Paladin (9), Rogue(3), Ranger(1) - and that probably means incurring the XP penalty, but I didn't notice. ;) I had the following stats in the end:

    STR 14
    DEX 14
    CON 10
    INT 14
    WIS 14
    CHA 15

I went Parry all the way, meaning also Improved Parry and Skill Focus: Parry plus Greater Gloves of Swordsmanship. Wearing only Studded Leather Armour, I had a check penalty of -1. I was able to pull off Parry(30), having four attacks in a round (Dual Wielding). Parry actually made difference early on - those nasty mobs that bring down your HP a lot despite only being Easy or Effortless weren't able to do much to and parrying off attacks while having my barbarian henchman swing an axe from the side was priceless. Add Evasion, 2d6 Sneak Attack and Uncanny Dodge from Rogue levels and I was quite set. I could also deal with traps fine.

Now, with Cormyr, I'm not going to go rogue. ;) No need for Ranger levels, either. To be honest, I don't see anything great about the Purple Dragon Knight class and if I take it, then only for roleplaying fun. And if so, might as well combine CoT levels with it since I'll be casting-impaired anyway.
