In your experience, do you sometimes find using an Exotic Weapon worth expending a feat for it?

If so, please describe your examples.

Well, I didn't mind getting the Naught Katana and then enchanting it to score plenty of acid damage in addition to the negative energy damage. But Gann was recruited already having the feat in place, so it didn't really require a decision on my part. It was in place, and I simply made good use of it.

Only if you're roleplaying, in my opinion. Usually any first run through of a D&D game, I play a paladin as my primary character. Going way back to my PnP DnD days, my paladin always uses a bastard sword. Since that's usually considered an exotic weapon, I take the feat.

If you're minmaxing as a pally, you go with the Greatsword.

I'm guessing it would be the same with other classes and exotic weapons. If you want it for RP puposes or the coolness of the weapon, the feat is worth it. If you just want to do max damage and get through the game,, it's probably not.

I would say yes, since most(all?) exotic weapons have +2 damage, greater threat range or crit multiplier which are all emulated by high level fighter feats.

I usually take the feat to cash in on very specific (and usually very powerful/useful) weapon enchantments. I skip it when I'm play on low magic worlds.
You should only take the feat if you wish to broaden your character's options imo.
