Ion Storm for Deus Ex and Thief.
Raven for Soldier of Fortune and Jedi Knight 2.

Valve has only a game that keeps them going, they still need to further prove themselves in the future. Sure, they have the "Best PC game ever" (PC Gamer 1999) but they haven't venture deep into any non Half-Life game since then.

Black Isle is good but they went too much into recycling business. (Besides it is my nature to be an ass and disagree with the mass.)

Interplay is more of a publisher, isn't it?

Bioware might just get better than Black Isle. Let's see how will they do in the coming Star Wars: Knightsof the Old Republic.

    Blizzard? What is that?

But they are hosts for a lot of softwarecompanies, the amount of games that are on the market nowadays, under license of EA is enormous. They simply have a good reputation.

And you're wrong about them only having made two games. Did you forget about EA NBA Live, Madden Football, Fifa, NHL, Baseball, tennis, and all those other sportsgames they throw on the market ? Every year there's the latest version, and they're doing this since the early 90's

    Bioware

And I'm guessing Obsidian will join the trio in the near future. They haven't made a game yet, but with Feargus Urquhart and Chris Avellone on board, you can't lose. (The cool dude men that broke away from BIS)
