My players bought the 3E PHB and I bought the 3E MM, but the DMG was out of stock... So I think about buying the 3.5E DMG...

BUT, I have the 3E DMG in my comp in PDF format, but it is crappy (the letters are not very discernible) and giving it to a photocopy store to make print it(because my printer is broken down) will cost more than the real book and it is illegal too.

    What should I do?
Buy the 3.5 DMG and argue all the time about the rules or get it printed and pay more and not be able to read a word??? :(

(P.S. And I don't have a credit card nor do I know anyone who has, so don't start this credit card conversation again...)

You could probably use the 3.5 DMG in a 3.0 game. The rules didn't change that much. Your game might have some 3.5 influences in it, like new stats for the Assassin prestige class (just an example), but I think you can easily combine both editions.

[EDIT] Alex' comment in the next post was based on a misunderstanding on my part. I took the complete thing out.

    Mesmero, you misunderstood me.

I said that it is illegal to go to a photocopy shop and ask them to print this book.

If you recently bought the PHB and the MM, why didn't you buy all the v3.5 rulebooks? That way there wouldn't be any arguing about the minor differences between the 3.0 and the 3.5 rules.

As I said in my previous post, using the v3.5 DMG in a v3.0 campaign would probably work fine. And if you are the DM, why would the other players argue if you use a certain rule. Just call it a house rule.

[IMG] First off I agree that a 3.5 DMG will not make that much differnet in a 3E game. But to avoid this way don't you get a 3E DMG? I mean is your local store out or is WotC out? Can your local store order you one if they are out of stock? Even if you don't have a credit card you can order stuff online. Did you check Ebay? Most folks sell via check or money order. In addition many gaming stores online will let you place an order and mail them a check.
Why don't you explore some of these options.
