I don't know, is that a platformer? Usually I avoid platformers, because I'm not very good at them, and I don't really enjoy them much, either (so no desire to improve myself).

    Looks like a platformer, sure.

Is it me or do graphics in that video remind anyone else of a mid to late '90s game?
Those graphics look on par with a game called "Abuse" I got as part of Bungie's "Mac Action Sack" when I wanted to buy the Marathon Trilogy and Pathways into Darkness back in '99.
The gameplay reminds me of Abuse as well, just with a slightly different theme, kind of how the Knights of the Old Republic games and the Neverwinter Nights games are very similar.

Note that I only know the posted video, nothing more.

Graphics like that have been quite popular with the indie games, and also the less-indie games. Sometimes it's for reasons of a small development team, sometimes it feels a bit lazy.

Anyway, the gameplay in that video looks pretty interesting, might be fun to play.
