[IMG] Erran do we get to keep this house post-Beta? If so, then see follow-ups in the AORTA forum. We may not have a Guild-master but we have a house!!!!

[IMG] The house is yours for as long as that character lives. However, you cannot bequeath the key to your next character 'cos that would be twinking ;)

You can't bequeath your key, but unless the other two of us die at the same time, we can recover the key and give it to whomever we want to be our next house guest :)

It's a good idea, a secure little hidey hole for us to just relax in between adventures. I'm all for opening it up to ALFA, the only issue is that there are 3 keys, so others wanting to enter will need to enter with one of us, or we'd have to leave the door open, which might not be the best thing once the forces of evil get prowling after our blood.

Like many doors it has autoclose on it. On request I can add autolock. It is no more or less secure than other terraced houses in that quarter.

My opinion on player-owned locks is that they should be openable only by the keys. That way a thief will have to steal the key from the player in order to make off with his stuff.

    My reasons are these:
1)When not online, a player is not around to be able to defend his stuff; making the thief steal the key makes it more PvP rather than just random looting of the town's housing.
    2) These are not real towns where people might notice a theif stealing into a neighbor's house and report it to the authorities, or yell "Stop thief!" and have a guard respond.
    3) I don't even think town guards respond to thieving actions if they saw some right in front of them.

Basically, I think the thief has too great an advantage if they can just go in and pick the locks to rob a player blind. Making them steal the key from the player equalizes this I think.

I know if my stuff is only as safe a couple of regular locks, I'm not storing any of my stuff in there... If a thief had to take the key from me, I'd have no problem storing things in any house or chest or whatever.
