I've been working on a unified World of Darkness cosmology and even started designing my own Splats (Splat = Supernatural Template)

I may have gone a little overboard, lol

So far I've outlined there will be 36 splats total, 24 I have designed myself, 1 I will convert from New World of Darkness to OWoD

    But for what purpose?

In my cosmology I am mapping out almost territories and nexus of particular energies and powers, some cities attract vampires, some wilder regions attract werewolves. But then there are regions which attract Shades or Raskshasa. Each Splat I've designed has a purpose in mind, has a background that subtly weaves into the canon backgrounds and also can explain some of the inexplicable. There are instances where supposed Vampires have done feats not generally possible by a vampire or they have fed from someone whos blood seems to affect them in strange ways.

The splats I have designed range from the far more human to the exceptionally rare, territorial and esoteric creatures which may seem no more than myths and drag the players and NPCs out of their determined comfort zone. Mores the better - I keep them secret.

Only I know all 36 things that dwell in the world (Well, one is simply 'Mortals' so not really a splat I guess...) so 35 sentient creatures that stalk the lands ranging from the benign to the malignant forces that keep the world in check or surrender to its spiralling morality.

I'm hoping to run either a Vampire game (which will barely feature external splats) or a Hunter game (which will have hapless mortals face different splats with a variety of ill prepared schemes and unknown assailants ;)) in 2011, it's finding the players for it.
