Civ IV as well. I'm still not good at it, but as it looks I'll be doing my first win on Noble.

Same here too... not very good at it either. Out of curiosity, what are your favorite map types to play?

Well I'm slowly getting back into it on continental, temperate, regular sea level maps. When I no longer suck I'll try some harder stuff. I'm also intent on a Conquest victory at the moment so have turned off the other win options (I won a domination game last time out).

Call of Duty 4, finished the single player in a day so now I am just wasting time with the multiplayer.

KotOR2. Thus far, not very impressed. KotOR was compelling enough (though had *plenty* of problems as well) - this feels like I'm just replaying KotOR again though, only it's less exciting.

In fact, playing this makes me want to go and play Ps:T (again). If I'm going to play a dialogue heavy game, it should at least be *interesting* dialogue. And it shouldn't be polluted with dull voiceovers which add nothing. Voiceovers are spice, not the main dish.

I've been playing Pangea maps, Standard size, and with 18 civs and unrestricted leaders. My current attempt sees me leading the Khmer, under Boudica. An early random event, coupled with a successful quest enabled me to eliminate two rivals quickly, but grow to nearly suffocating size. My economomy has caught up, a third rival ground under my boot heel (the AI are also active taking out two more with their infighting), and I'm sizing up my three immediate neighbours for where I want to expand or just relieve pressure...

Medieval 2: Total War. My research supervisor recommended it to me and by the gods, its mind numbingly addictive! People who love CIV 4 should consider trying it out as well.

@Faraaz: I do play GW but not much anymore so I'm alittle left out.

Ah, Call of Duty. I remember someone saying "Every building in CoD 4 was like a clown car" (I'm looking at you farmhouse).
Seriously, keep shooting the baddie from, lets say a helicopter, and a new guy will immediately spawn in and take the corpse's place and they'll keep on doing that... untill you've moved to spot X.

Well, I was desperate for a while, but soon remembered I hadn't yet bought the sexiest game on the market, MotB (I pronounce that "Mo' TB" for some reason, like the existing amount of tuberculosis wasn't enough). Choice number two would have been The Witcher, but I'm not in the mood for non-AD&D RPGs.

I prefer a more balanced map, ideally with some islands - I'm a poor rusher so I like to expand. Right now I'm playing with Victoria on Archipelago, and it's awesome... The fact that my capital is growing like crazy (several crabs/fish near it) also helps.

BTW, I've had a nasty problem a few times: I end my turn, and it's just "Waiting for other civilizations" - kind of like freezing, but I can move my cursor (globe form) and even check the advisors or Civilopedia. However, my turn just doesn't come! Has anyone had this problem?

Still feeling in an FPS mood, so playing XIII. The graphical style (3D first-person made to look cel-shaded) is pretty interesting, and the music, sound and graphics do give the game a fun comic-book look. It's not terribly faithful to the comics (which were much more grim), but it's fun. However it's yet another one of those "we're porting it from a console but we're not going to have a real save game function", and that's the most irritating aspect of the game. In this day and age there is no excuse for not being able to save anywhere, anytime.

Started playing Planescape Torment: only about 8-9 years too late, apparently :)

Have restarted like twice already, experimenting with differeng starting stats. Think this time I'll just get the thief/mage classes for experience, then switch back to a fighter.. I don't really like having to micro-manage a spellcaster, especially when the user interface isn't as robust as that of say, BG2.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune on the PS3.

I am also soon finished with NWN: HotU on the PC and will start with The Witcher in the near future.

I abandoned my second run through NWN2 Mask of the Betrayer out of sheer boredom.

I am playing Witcher now. I took a while to research how to tweek Vista so that the game would stop crashing but apart from that I have been enjoying it quite a bit.

Difficult to get rid of Warcraft III from my system... Waiting for Mask of the Betrayer, though. Hoping to have the time and the computer to play something fun, otherwise I'm going to have to stick with NWN2 modules. NWN1 modules would be great to play, but I just don't have the kind of time to reach to old games while I have a computer that can still run current games - I prefer to play current titles when they are current if my computer can handle it. ;)

And Medieval II: Total War also, though not like even every week... A great game.

Anachronox. The game's got some flaws, but so far I'm really enjoying it. It's got a lot of humour, very good writing, and it just keeps throwing "what the...!!!" moments at me. I like games that manage to consistently surprise me. I'm thinking of writing a review for the game when I'm done.

I was playing Unreal Tournament 3, until the campaign started putting me in games where it's me and 3 AI against 8 bots.
