soloing Demogorgon?

    I'm just wondering for those of you out there that solo your games - do you actually fight Demogorgon? I have difficulty beating him with a party of 6 on core rules - I can't imagine even trying to beat him with a solo character, seeing as how it usually takes me several reloads to beat him with a full party. Does anyone do this? And if so, what class(es) are your PC?

    I couldn't beat him with my solo monk.
    Some people claim they have. Shrug. Maybe they have more patience than I do regarding multiple reloads and got a lucky streak. Dunno.

    With my F/M/T I went 100% cheese: traps. Demogorgo was dead as soon as the fight started.

    But I did kill him in a fair fight with my solo sorcerer. I used Skull Trap. But not as traps: as a missile attack. It was about the only spell in my arsenal that Demogorgo wasn't immune to. It involved a lot of "run, turn around, shoot, run". ;)

    I too have taken him down solo using the ever cheesy trap route but I have never even bothered to try to take him one-on-one in a real fight.

    I beat Demogorgon with a solo Conjurer. I used Protection from Magic Weapons to let me cast several Abi-Dalzim's Horrid Wiltings without much fear of being hurt. I think I also used Spell Traps to protect myself from his Implosions. I summoned a Planetar and some Mordenkainen's Swords to take on his other demons.

    Now I am getting ready to take him one as a solo sorcerer. Since sorcerers are better than mages, I want more of a challenge so I have installed the Tougher Demogorgon mod. It should be fun!

    [​IMG] I completely buffed my kensai with every possible buff available to me. Complete killing machine.

    I set him on Demogorgon...alone. Demo couldnt possibly keep up with his amazingly numerous, fast and powerful attacks. I was near death but Demo was dead :D

    I have on insane difficulty all the time. But i'm not sure if i kept it in this fight. I'll reinstall BG and get improved one :) I hope that'll be a challenge.


    BTW i dont suppose this can be considered solo becouse of all the buffs.


    There was another time when i was soloing through the whole game with my shapeshifter(rebalanced). He was so immensily strong he didnt have any trouble with him. I dont even recall the fight anymore, so it surely wasnt any big deal.
    But i must admit shapeshifter rebalanced is not balanced at all. Way too powerful, even for solo insane and improved Bhallspawns :(


    But you sure do feel powerful killing such legendary fiends as Demogorgon solo. :holy:
