    I knew the cutting the thumb off but until you mentioned mortuary I just couldn't place the film. Nightshift is a really bad horror set on a cotton farm with a huge giant rat, avoid the film, trust me.

    Ok. A guy is at a party on new years eve wearing a tux. The party is at a hotel. He is getting on very well with a girl until his boss finds out and tells him to go back to work, since he's one of the hotel's clerks.

    Well this does seem tricky. Ok this film is a spoof, not of a film like scary movie spoofs scream but of a genre, like blazing saddles spoofs the western genre.

    Nope. This genre has films like Fatal Attraction and Basic Instinct in, so the Erotic Thriller genre.
