Hey! Awesome idea. Especially for the Paladin route. How did it turn out? Any particular challenges?

And has anyone else tried a uniform party? Tell us about it!

Intelligence affecting thieving abilities is IWD2. As previously stated, there are two things that affect thieving skills - your race and your dexterity.

Although strictly speaking, if you are playing 2nd edition rules, the type of armor (or lack thereof) can add bonuses or penalties to the theiving skills.

I think that studded leather and elven chain gave penalties, whereas padded armor and no armor gave bonuses - not quite sure on that though.

I played with a Paladin supported by his squire(fighter/cleric), an Archer defended by his trainee(ranger/cleric)and a Mage supported by his apprentice(mage/thief). It was a well rounded party and the support team worked effectively. Plenty of melee fighters when needed, and plenty to fall back in if they weren't. It wasn't my favorite game, but it was effective.

The Paladin group was fairly successful, though it's tough always having to set off traps! It's also a little tough not having access to high level spells, as I really like spells!
