I am in chapter one of HOtU and have been trying to solve the guardian puzzle. I have already killed the skeleton bomb maker and know that the levers lock the guardians in place. In addition, I know that the central guardian does not lock into place when the others do and that all three need to face the door. My problem is the right guardian. I have tried clicking it to turn it, but it is locked in place. I have played with the levers to try to unlock it, but nothing helps. It does not move when the other two are reset. Does anyone know what I did wrong or how to fix it?

You can lock a statue by pulling their respective levers, but you can't unlock them that way. It's a bit of a pain, but you'll need to make certain that the statue faces the right direction before you pull the lever, because if you accidentally lock it into the wrong position (or the statues reset just as you're pulling the lever), you're going to need an earlier save and try again.

So what you'll need to do is find a savegame that hasn't got any of the statues locked in place, and reload. Then turn each statue to face the door and pull the lever. Ignore the skeletons, as they respawn each time the statues reset, and watch the colours around the pillar in the middle. If it turns red, don't pull the switch yet, as you might end up pulling the lever just as the statue resets, thus locking it in the wrong position.
The middle statue isn't any different from the other statues, it can be locked in place as well. Just pull the appropriate lever.

As an aside, save your game again once you've opened the door. The chest in that room spawns a magic weapon based on your weapon focus, so you may want to reload a few times to get one with the mods that you prefer having. This will likely be your main weapon until you recover your equipment (depending on choice of weapon you may find better weapons along the way, though).
