    Stairs.

    My Archnemesis.

They're everywhere, churches, banks, and clubs, either have steps going in (so you can't go in and ask for a ramp...) or they have stairs inside to be fashionable (Pubs are also prone to this)

Why don't the laws meaning that if there are stairs there need to be lifts adhered to? If you ask if there are ramps or areas you can park yourself you get treated like an inconvenience! It's simply daft.

It seems to be if you can't manage a few stairs you don't deserve to have fun, have money or recieve the services of your faith. Perhaps as they aren't seen as necessities the priorities are lowered significantly, yet I don't think that makes is acceptable.

Perhaps people should be challenged to spend a day as someone disabled would. Pick any physical disability and spend 24 hours paying attention to EVERY action you do to see if you could still do it if you were missing a limb, or lacked adequate muscle control, even if you imagine a visual or hearing impairment consider how much you would be missing in every day life. Even a trip to the shops can become a daunting task with a small selection of difficulties - an effort should be made that unwinding at the end of the day or at a weekend that tasks aren't made more difficult that you feel confined to spending any relaxation time at home. Social lives are for everyone.
