[IMG] I totally agree. AFLA looks real nice. I think NWN is really going to make a big different in online gaming. I'll love to play in a ALFA world but even more exciting is the concept of making you own world and running it for you friends. By this mothed I can play D&D with friends all across the country. That Rocks!

[IMG] I already got a few of them on AFLA and others are registering now. I think we are going to form a guild. If you do will we get a guild hall or other meeting place? Or does AFLA 'mark' our PC has part of the guild. The site was a little vage. Could you give more details? Thanks.

Your guild will be based on those who join and whether or not BioWare has added a "Guild Feature" is unknown to me. I would assume they thought of that, similar to how UO did it with those in Guilds together are recognized, etc.

Guilds or people in general, if they want a castle, house or building made can do so themselves if they so please and submit it to the Dungeon Master running that particular server. Mind you, your characters within the game will have to have the gold to pay for the cost of such a building, large or small and there will also be "build time" which will span a number of "real time" days or weeks, depending on the size of what you want done. When that time has passed, the DM after accepting the building, would place it where you wanted it.

There may also be role playing possibilities to go along with purchasing such a place, such as getting grants from the local duke or council who would vote on your offer, an attempt to roleplay the outcome is something else if the DM is on the other side of the NPC you're trying to convience to allow you to build on his land.

Any other questions, feel free to ask.

[IMG] Sylvus, what you just mentioned is one of the many great aspects of this game. its just like PnP. there are so many different adventures that could stem from having a stucture of some sort. you have to pay for upkeep of the place, possibly pay servants, and guards to defend it in case of an onslaught. ahhhh the possibilties are endless. i cant wait for this one either.

I know! It's very exciting indeed, but I've learned not to get too excited after Ultima Online. Be it, a great concept and game for I was lured in with the best of them when the game originally came out. Played it from that October to April of the following year on the Atlantic Server. A lot of fun before everyone else joined the band wagon and started to PK. Even PKs added a new level to the game, just watching it grow was something else.

NWN has more promise though and hopefully they'll learn from Ultima Onlines mistakes and put out a much stronger system. Although, UO still is going strong but I feel NWN will change the way we all look at Online Gaming, that's for sure.

The ability for someone to take control of the game, one second that drunken old beggar is pan handling, the next moving about as if he was taken over by some crazy demon, ranting and raving about the village being attacked!

With players looking around, telling him to go drink more ale as he babbles his way through the crowds, another NPC runner comes dashing from the northern road.

"Trolls! Hundreds of them on their way!"

    *shivers at the thought*
