What was the location depicted in the intro?

In the intro, we see Saravok murder somebody, claiming "I will be the last. You shall be the first.", although we don't know who the armored figure is until more than halfway through the game.
Do we ever find out where that was and who the guy murdered was besides presumably being another Child of Bhaal?

It looks like it could have been the Iron Throne in the city of Baldur's Gate, but I can't remember.
I haven't played BG1 since 2014 according to the time stamps in my save game directory, and I can't believe it's been nearly 10 years.
I haven't played BG2 since 2016 according to the timestamps on the same computer.

That's probably the Iron Throne, but the Bhaalspawn seems to be nameless. This isn't disclosed in the game nor can I find anything about it elsewhere.

And you just freely admit that here? Have you no shame? ;)

    You know what that means?
Time to start a new game.

Although seriously, I'm shocked at the dates listed on the computer, I really can't believe it has been that long. Especially for BG2. I know it has been a while since I played BG1, but I thought I played BG2 more recently.

Yes, it's definitely the roof of the Iron Throne tower.

In BG1ee, you can go up on that roof, and clicking around the fence surrounding the roof-terrace will activate a couple of floating-info texts about it being a long drop, and about the fence being recently repaired at one point, which is an obvious reference to the scene in the intro.
