Media Bias/Fact checker rates BBC as highly reliable.

This is an article on five excerpts from the book Mary Trump wrote about her uncle Donald. Please either read the article or have read the book to make a comment on this.

Guess nobody wants to discuss it. :( Maybe I should choose more forum-friendly topics?

Politics do not interest me much.

Trump's personal past also doesn't interest me, and someone calling him a narcissist is nothing new to anyone in the world. He got elected, though, so I guess more than half the americans are getting what they want?

The funny thing is that politics used to be the last thing I was interested in. It hasn't been since Trump has come into power that I've started really looking at politics, especially american politics.

I'm not sure half the americans actually did want Trump in power. The ones who voted him in might have chosen him because he was a republican and they didn't want to vote outside their established political side. Also there are a considerable amount of the voting population who didn't or couldn't vote. I found out recently that people in the USA who are incarcerated aren't allowed to vote, which isn't the case in Canada.

I think Mary Trump published her book for a few reasons, but the main reason was to try and educate the voters who've been ignoring the reprehensible behaviour of Trump.

Well, put simply, less than half of the Americans that voted in the election actually voted for Trump. The Electoral College, which is a relic from the late 1700's that was necessary in order to get all 13 colonies to join the then-new USA gives disproportionate voting power to smaller, less populated states.

Because of the power imbalance, the small states will never vote to get rid of it, so we're stuck with it.
