Welcome, KranfordTButcher, it is still an achievement to beat the games. We love hearing about what others have done and how they did it.

    Yet another Newbie!

    Hello Everyone!
    (Hello Dr Nick!)

Seriously - haven't posted anything in any board since coming to Australia's CSIRO in 1996. Talk about overdue...

Anyways - I'm here for the usual: RPGs and all their accoutrements, such as help to 'where do I find that blasted Girdle of DreamDoom?' in level 37-123 of THAT game by THAT manufacturer.

At the moment I am reliving my misspent youth (ah those snowstorms!) as a student of Technical Linguist (don't ask) by getting all those lovely games my machine refused to play. RAM upgrade to 4MB anyone?

Currently it's Planescape:Torment. Good fun if you can talk to the dead - which I can't at the moment...

...aaaaaaaaaaand that's how I ended up here.

    Thanks for having me!:geezer:

The Snook is back. Sorry I've been away so long. We had a couple of deaths in the family and just all sorts of craziness. Mrs. Snook is doing great and teen Snook is now Driving Snook (God help us all).

I've also been so tied up in probably the worst tax season I've ever been through (I may have to post about that one). This morning is probably the first morning I haven't been working in three months. It is so nice to sit at home eating cereal and relaxing.

    Off to the Alleys...

TGS - good thing that I am across the country then, with Teen Snook driving now. My 15 year old is about to start and I am shaking in trepidation. Perhaps you can provide tips on how to remain calm . . .

First thing, don't let Mom in the car until the youngster is almost ready to take the test. I know this is a generalization, but Mom's really don't seem able to handle it.

The best advice I can give you is to spend a ton of hours driving in residential streets with a lot of twists and turns and lefts and rights. Practice is the only thing that works.

I also recommend scheduling a massage as your right leg will hurt from pressing the brake that doesn't exist in the passenger seat :)

I can say from experience that the right leg thing is very true. :p and not letting Mom in the car is also true... great advice.

    Welcome, everyone!

I have to disagree about the mom thing, although, to be honest, I was a weird driving student in that I really didn't want to learn how to drive, and thus was, if anything, overcautious.

My mom is the one who actually taught me to drive. I think my dad would have had a lot more problems as my driving teacher, since he is impatient and not a very cautious driver. So, my cautiousness would have driven him crazy. It still does: I drive the speed limit, and if he's following me or if I'm following him, he thinks it's terrible.

Hey. It's been a while, everyone. I've been around, more or less, just haven't had a lot to say until recently. DR shamed me into posting again. Glad he did. :)

    Hi everyone

Hi everyone. The name's Rick and I found this site because I was looking for a way to remove the level cap from the original bg1 and now that I found it I'm looking for a solution to a problem that I've got importing my bg1 player into bg2.

I haven't really been on a site like this before so I don't know where to start looking. If anyone can help me with the following question I would be in their debt.

I downloaded the Baldur's Gate XP Cap Remover by TEAMBG and I got to a human fighter level 9 and then dual classed to a thief and got him to level 10. When I tried to import him to bg2 his 9 levels in fighter were there but I had to start as a level 1 thief again. What is happening and how can I stop it? Or can someone point me in the right direction?

I look forward to being a part of this site. I love these games.
