I can't vote yet as the only NPC I've had so far is my cute little puppy of a war dog. :p

Once I get farther in the game and actually meet some NPCs, I'll vote.

I voted for my slightly abrasive friend Shale (forgive me). Although she does bring a lot of the trouble on herself, I mean certain birds are attracted to shiny objects and she has all those crystals ^^.

My vote went to Wynne. Never really get to have an old woman as an NPC, in any game. So this was kind of refreshing. (Got one in kotor2, but she was the main badguy).
Oghren I thought was the worst. A dwafr that likes to drink. Come on! Stereotypical.

A really hard choice as there are three NPCs that I like more than the others. They make a really cool party by the way. I eventually picked the one with the best voice acting.

I voted Loghain. Yes he tries to
kill me and sends all his assassins and mercenaries. But when I got him as a companion and listened to his side of the story, only then I understood why he acted the way he did. Alistair's great but he seems a touch how shall I put it ... loony

Wynne's awesome. Doubly so when paired with Oghren.

Guys, please go easy with the spoilers. There are spoiler tags for that stuff. You're giving away too much information about the game. ;)

I am not sure who to vote yet as I have not encountered all NPCs. Thankfully I have some time to play before the poll closes. But I am tempted to vote for Morrigan because Claudia Black did the voice acting for her.

I voted for Morrigan as well for these reasons:
1 - Her inter-party dialogs with Alistair make me LMAO every time
2 - Her voice is the most pleasing
    3 - Mages kick a$$
4 - She just made out with my PC...

I didn't know Loghain would be joinable - I haven't got that far yet. :( Oh well - serves me right for reading this topic. He won't get the opportunity to join me anyway, after I remove certain vital organs from his person.

I voted for Alistar. Like Kitrax mentioned he has the funiest dialogs with Morrigan, but unlike her, he is not as difficult to please.

Plus you get an oppotunity to make him more understanding about he being the true heir of the throne!

Quite frankly I hesitated between Alistair, Leliana and Morrigan. I picked Morrigan because of the fantastic voice acting which really makes this NPC come to life.

The poll is on the SP homepage! Most of the names are meaningless but as someone who hasn't gotten very far yet this one is a colossal spoiler.

No way around it unfortunately... even 5 years later a favourite NPC poll would still be a spoiler in this respect to someone who hasn't played the game yet (or more like to those who haven't come very far in the game yet). But as far as spoilers go, this one is hardly "colossal". I'll mark the thread though.

I voted for Leliana. She's the cutest (kida like Scully... :xx:). Alistair was a close second.

You mean that Alistair is cute?

He is a really nice guy but I wouldn't put it that way. :p

I agree though, Leliana is really sweet, she's the kind of girl you take home to meet your mother...

skipping the fact that she is a religious nutcase and that she is into girls of course.

Morrigan however is in a different league.

She's the type that will make you miserable, keep you asking for more and eventually break your heart. A true femme fatale.

I like them both. As far as I'm concerned the voice acting was the deciding factor.

Don't read if you have'nt completed the game yet.
Morrigan has a much more important part at the end of the game whereas you don't even get to spend the last night before the battle with Leliana!

I don't have a true favourite yet, as I haven't played through enough of the game. However, Oghren hitting on Wynne was hilarious to the extreme. He brings pride to dwarven manhood everywhere :D .

I meant that Alistair is another character I like, but for other reasons...:p

Leliana's accent is really cute! And
as for being a religous nutcase, she has stated that she was not popular in the Chantry because she believed in the maker but not really all the ceremonies and such. That's more wisdom than fanatism... :)

Well, you know what they say

about crazy chicks, they're the best!

    Do they actually say that?

Anyway, she's having visions if she's not hearing voices. I mean that is some pretty weird stuff. The fact that she strays from the teachings of the Chantry could be construed as a form of heresy even if she's no fanatic.

To romance her you need to take her religious talk for granted. I don't know about you but all that kind talk would make me rather uncomfortable in real life. Not that I'd feel comfortable with a hot witch... I guess the hot witch thing could work though, nobody is perfect after all! :p
