The plan involves a merciless sledgehammer beating followed by heavy torture with a welding iron, burn it with a torch (crispy motherboard, anyone?) and then put a few bricks in it and drop it from a bridge down to a watery grave.

Hell, I could write a novel with this death.

Really? Whoa... I bought some 'international edition' for about half that price at a book fair last year.

Heh, true, there are far heavier books - but at least they have the decency to look their weight and don't tempt you to read in bed :p

A friend and her kids turned up last night so we decided to invite the neighbours round too. Hangovers are bad

After the welding and torture, slap it on an office chair, get a mate to do the same, go into a carpark and have a robot wars style duel of old computers!

I am seriously annoyed! I've just had a letter from my local council about road safety in my village. It had a list of proposals for better marked speed limits, improvements to road markings atc. It also included details of a request to have a pedestrian crossing put in at the entrance to the local park. Now, the park is used as a cut through to the village centre where the shops are and also to get to the local play group. The council have decided that even though the road outside the park is very busy and even though children and parents with prams have to cross the road, it's not necessary to have a safe crossing and it's far more important to paint the bus shelter down the road!

Get the local kids to go to the council building and play "jump on the cars" and when they complain say the raod isn't safe near the park because a bus shelter needed painting, that'll shut em up...

@ Ziad; I know the freakin' weather's insane this summer. July used to be a sunny and hot month in Montréal. Now it's just...weird. Damn mother nature!

Well, after all the firmware updates and software tweaks I could possibly do, the server is not backing up any faster. So, next week I get to run a freakin' HUGE IBM data dump and then call in a service order. The problem has got to hardware, unless NetOps is throttling traffic and not telling me.

[IMG] Going to get cuddles tomorrow

Unfortunately I was saying that yesterday...

I can't leave home until I sign life insurance papers for my mother and they didn't arrive today

Was also left waiting an hour at the doctors for a three minute nurse appointment.

Have been finding flying ants in my room again so I think they may have renested in the woodwork of my window like they did last year :wail:

Makes my skin crawl remembering! Leaving the room for dinner and walking back in thinking "Why is it so dark in here?" then followed by "WHY IS THE WINDOW CRAWLING?!"

Disaster response services are apparently atm testing the functions of the local warning siren. It's odd to hear the fire and catastrophe alerts on a sunny Saturday morning during breakfast.

Still, much better than the really nerve racking air raid and NBC alerts that I haven't heard since school (they were discontinued after the end of the cold war).

I got into a sword fight with my cat...unfortunately, she has 20 little swords built in to her paws...and by the look of my arm, I'd say she won. :bad:

So. Tired. So much destruction yesterday... I demolished a porch and a jungle-gym/swingset. With big hammers.
