Terminator Salvation. So not worth seeing in theaters. Rental, if that.

Star Trek. What I expected, pretty nice.

Two words that separately seem boring, but together form an alliance too powerful to resist.

martaug, I saw that... it is EXACTLY what it sounds like. It is great, but don't go into it expecting a masterpiece - it is goofy at many points. I enjoyed it quite thoroughly.

    @martaug,

This is the trailer of a Dutch indie movie, also featuring Nazi zombies :)
There is no data on release yet, but it might a while. Put your speakers at max when playing

Morgoth, all the info i can find says that WCS is dead in th water & richard raaphorst is trying to get a movie called Army of Frankenstein going.
The 2 trailers for WCS looked pretty good to me though.

Terminator: Salvation. Ok action-flick, but not a good terminator movie. Has alot of plot-holes and such, and continuity issues. I`d rate it a 6 out of 10 though. Was better than the 3rd one.

Frost/Nixon. It's quite good as a movie but not terribly accurate as a documentary.

Transporter 1 and 2. They became a little ridiculous when the Transporter was single handedly taking down dozens of henchmen wielding axes and cudgels.

We went and saw Angels & Demons tonight. It was alright...not nearly as good as The DaVinci Code. I know all movies that are based on books stray from the written story...but I think the movie strayed *way* too far. :nolike:

    • The CERN director wasn't even in the movie, and in the book, he played an important role...
    • The physicist who dies at CERN is supposed to be Vittoria's father...but in the movie it's just a research partner.
    • The Assassin was supposed to die during a fight with Robert and Vittoria...not in an explosion...
    • Speaking of which, WTF was up with the car bomb?!?!?!
    • Robert didn't go up in the helicopter (and therefore didn't jump out of it)
    • Camerlengo is supposed to kill himself in front of everyone in St. Peter's square...but he ended up killing himself while being perused by police.
    • There was no mention that the Camerlengo was in fact the late pope's biological son (by means of artificial insemination)...they only say the pope adopted him...
    • It's been a few years since I read the book, and I *might* be wrong on this one, but, IIRC...all 4 cardinals die in the book. In the movie however, the one branded with "water" does not die...and *he* becomes the new pope instead of the head cardinal guy.
    • Speaking of the "water" scene, the Assassin was supposed to try to kill Robert by drowning him in the fountain...but instead he just drives away.
That's all I can think of right now.

Saw Valkyrie two nights ago. Very interesting (I absolutely love Nazi movies...don't ask me why), but since you know going in that the plot to get Hitler fails, as soon as they start detailing the plot, you start checking off one by one all the things you can see that are going to wrong to foil it. Interesting, but - meh.

Then last night I saw Run, Fatboy, Run. Very charming, but not the laugh riot I guess I was expecting (like Pegg's previous classics Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz). Still, very funny in a few parts and overall enjoyable - if formulaic and predictable. Good date movie.
