There are at least two boss fights plus some optional extra fighting down the road.

For the time being, you can always enter Undersigil from Clerk's Ward - this area is not part of the greater plot but basically an arena with some quite tough critters. The creatures respawn if you leave Undersigil, so you can return for more.

If you're after action, you're playing the wrong game.

Thanks Montresor, I'll give it a shot.

I believe that ideally you can have both.

Only if you're going for a game that mixes both. Torment isn't such a mix. It's heavily biased towards story and text, and I think that's one of the reasons many of us love it so much. I personally thought the Lower/Clerk's Ward section was the best in the game (minus the last segment, which I won't talk about). Lothar, the Siege Tower, the Brothel, the Foundry, I loved every minute of these quests. The action does pick up as soon as you finish this segment, but the game's not going to really swing to the other end of the spectrum - the emphasis is on text pretty much all the way through.

I'm not looking for a hack and slash fest either. I like games with a fleshed out story and an extensive background and I'm not disputing the fact that PST is certainly one of the best as far as content goes.

I guess I'm not in the mood right now.:(

Don't push yourself to play it if you don't feel like it, Caradhras. Give it a few days - you'll get back in the mood, I'm sure.

I agree with Ziad - the Lower and Clerk Ward are my favourite bits of the game too (well, some stuff near the end too... :) )

As for fights, you'll get a few nice ones soon. Some later areas are more "action oriented". Although, tbh, fighting is one thing I don't like doing in PS:T.
