I wasn't really a fan of RTS until I played the demo for Warcraft 3 a short while ago and really enjoyed it. I picked it up and was impressed. Then, on a buddy's recommendation, I picked up Age of Empires 2 and fell in love with it. Then I played the demo for Star Wars: Empire at War and now I am an avid fan of RTS.

It made sense to pick this game up to mix my older passion (D&D) with my new one. And I gotta say, I am not disappointed. It got some different stuff but the graphics are great and it has really enjoyable gameplay.

Now if only they could come up with an RTS for Firefly.

I found it, new, for 5 euro, so why not. But I will save it for a rainy day. I still have to finish stalker 1, bioshock, fear, NWN2 OC, ...

I have Empire at war and its been fun. Haven't played it recently but one battle I still remember is when a star destroyer piloted by an imperial character was destroyed by 1 group of Y-wings and a corvette that I had moving with a large group of troop transports that were my ground invasion fleet.

I expected to take a real beating and didn't loose a ship-kept the transports continually running away so they were at long range for the star destroyer while it ignored the Y-wings taking it down piece by piece.

Marathon was a fun first person shooter from years ago that I liked (its graphics where good for the time but not so much for today).

Also while I am not aware of a video game for Firefly fans of the series/movie may be interested in knowing that there is a new role-playing game based on the series/movie.

It is mentioned in wikipedia here:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serenity_(role-playing_game)

Hmm.... I don't know why the wiki link was giving me problems, here it is for the game as sold at the online store for the game's maker. Look up Serenity under the product overview.
