Indulge my ignorance

I gave the Helm (looks like a mask) that lets you cast Simlacrum once per day however whenever I try to cast the spell through my items bag all it does is say Jaheria Save VS Death 17. I thought it was supposed to cast another me? That comes and helps you fight at half your level? Been trying to use this for a couple days now what idiotic mistake am I making this time?

Were you wearing the mask? Also, some items require you rest while wearing the item for it to 'recharge.'

Sounds like he took the Skull of Death or whatever it is called from the Underdark which casts the Death Spell rather than Vhalior's Helm from Diedre in The Adventurers Mart which casts Simulacrum once a day.

i was thinking that too since they both have the same appearance, but even if you cast death spell on yourself it shouldn't make you save versus death
